4th & Five

Built in a
Razorback
Locker Room.

Four former Arkansas Razorbacks. Decades of friendship. Arkansas' fastest-growing sports show.

The Origin

Why 4TH
& FIVE?

The name means two things at once. Fourth and Five is a football down-and-distance — the kind of moment that separates teams with the guts to go for it from teams that play it safe. It's also a nod to DJ Williams' No. 45, the number he wore at the University of Arkansas and later with the New England Patriots alongside Tom Brady.

In 2018, DJ and Throne sat down to build something. They'd been teammates at Arkansas, stayed close through the NFL grind and years in business, and both believed Arkansas deserved a sports show that went deeper than the highlights — one that understood the state, the teams, and the people who bleed Razorback red. They chose a name that was rooted in DJ's playing days, football-brained, and celebrated in Arkansas.

What started as a podcast between two old friends grew into one of the state's most recognized sports brands, with Grant Cook and Matt Harris eventually joining to complete a foursome that spent their college years as teammates on the Hill.

The Hosts

All four played together at the University of Arkansas. That's not a talking point — it's the entire foundation of the show.

Tight End · Host & Founder
DJ Williams
Green Bay Packers New England Patriots KARK Anchor

DJ played tight end at Arkansas under Coach Houston Nutt and went on to a professional career that included stops with the Green Bay Packers, Jacksonville Jaguars, New England Patriots (where he played alongside Tom Brady), and Washington. After football, he became the lead anchor on KARK's morning show in Little Rock and a fixture on Pig Trail Nation. The voice and face of 4th & Five from day one.

WR
Wide Receiver · Co-Host & Co-Founder
Josh Throne
Players First Sports NFL Marketing Arkansas Entrepreneur

Throne walked on at Arkansas and earned his stripes as a wide receiver before taking his competitive drive into the business world. He spent years in Baltimore with Players First Sports, handling off-field marketing and endorsements for 30-plus NFL clients alongside industry veteran Dan Saffron — and even hosted a TV show on ABC Baltimore covering the Ravens. Back in Arkansas, he built multiple successful businesses before co-founding 4th & Five with DJ in 2018.

OL
Offensive Lineman · Co-Host
Grant Cook
Green Bay Packers Minnesota Vikings Jonesboro, AR

From Jonesboro, Grant arrived at Arkansas the same year as DJ and became one of his closest friends on the team. After earning a shot with the Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings, he returned to Arkansas and built a career in Northwest Arkansas business — spending years at Tyson and now at George's. He's also put in time in front of the camera, including a supporting role in the Brandon Burlsworth film that reached Netflix. Grant brings the blue-collar, straight-shooter energy that grounds the show.

S
Safety · Co-Host
Matt Harris
Cleveland Browns Hall of Fame Bloodlines Dallas, TX

Matt came to Arkansas from Texas and was already a year ahead of the group when they arrived on campus. A safety with Pro Football Hall of Fame bloodlines — his father is Cliff Harris, Cowboys legend and 2020 Hall of Fame inductee — Matt had a stint with the Cleveland Browns under defensive coordinator Rob Ryan before moving into coaching at Texas Tech. He now works in real estate in the Dallas area while staying connected to the show and to the media world through past work with Little Rock TV networks.
